Well today is the last day of my mini scrapbooking extravaganza and I hope you've enjoyed it. We'll finish with a double layout of my elder son's last birthday. I've used the giant Medallion stamp as a background. This stamp can also easily be used as a focal point on cards and other projects.

Last Week of May Scrapbooking - Day 4
I thought it was about time I joined in the latest NZSU Blog List Challenge, see here for details. My family is off to visit my sisters family tomorrow so I have made these for her children which is why there's no photos in there yet. My sister will have to pleasure of choosing which ones to put in. These little scrapbooks are made from one piece of 12x12 designer paper and each took me about an hour to make. They are also a good way to use up retired Simply Scrappin' kits! See here to visit SCS for a tuturial on how to make one yourself.

Last Week of May Scrapbooking - Day 2
This page started life as a 6x6 which you can now see in the middle. We Demos made this page at the Regional Seminar in Hamilton last November and I've only just got around to putting a photo on it now (albeit one that's 8 years old!). I have used the Progressive Page method of scrapbooking where you start with the 6x6, add it to an A4 then onto a 12x12.

MIL Mother's Day Gift
Here's what I made for my wonderful Mother-in-Law for Mother's Day, a set of 8 4x4 notecards for every occasion, along with another card of course and a purse to store them all in. She loved it!
I chose a "rainbow" using 8 of the retiring colours, stamping the outside with Fun and Fast Notes, matting in the same colour, then stamping the inside, same colour again, using the Curvy Verses stamp set. No colouring in required. I then finished off with some sort of matching embellishment, a brad, ribbon, button, etc.
Here's a closeup of the card and purse. I got the idea for the card from Kirsty Brown's blog. This was also my first try at a Scallop Circle Punch Faux Flower, cute eh?
Notecard Supplies
Stamps: Fun and Fast Notes, Curvy Verses
Cardstock: Whisper White, Glorious Green, Yoyo Yellow, Ruby Red, Ballet Blue, Lovely Lilac, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa, Cameo Coral

Awards, for Me?
I have been blessed to receive not one, but 2 awards in the last week. Firstly, the sunshine award was given to me by my wonderful upline Tracee Jones, thanks Tracee!
Then I got an email from Patti Lee in San Francisco who nominated me for a Beautiful Blogger Award. Wow, I'm so lucky, thankful, and excited that people love my creations!
Now, 10 things about me which I need to share as part of this award:
1. I learnt the piano for 14 years, but hardly have time to play anymore.
2. I love coffee, especially iced coffees, but can't touch them when pregnant.
3. I'm currently pregnant with #4.
4. I'm a list-writer, I have to, otherwise nothing would ever get done (or bought at the supermarket).
5. I'm a big Little House on the Prairie fan and if we have another girl, am seriously considering calling her Laura.
6. I always love a bargain or anything on sale (love those SU! promotions).
7. I joined SU! in August 2008 after scrapbooking for 3 years previously, but now love making cards and versatile 3D projects too.
8. I have a big garden, & love spending time in it, but don't do that much when I'm preggy either!
9. I'm left-handed and so is my hubby.
10. I'm a Christian.
Here are the ‘rules’ for the award.
1. Put the Sunshine Award on your blog and/or within your post.
2. Pass the award to other bloggers.
3. Link the nominees within your post.
4. Let them know they received this award by leaving a comment on their blog.
5. Share the love and link to the person from whom you received the award.
So, the bloggers I am going to send the sunshine to are all a wonderful source of inspiration to me, and in no particular order, please help me send some happy thoughts the way of:
Sarah Gough
Anne Brignall
and Anna Sutherland.
If you have a few minutes please go and see the wonderful creations these ladies have been making.
Thanks again Tracee and Patti, you both made my day!
