Small Wonder Scrapbook Layout

I made these four 6x6 pages when I was preggy last year. The idea was to colour a page in the child's favourite colour (at the time :)), print out a photo of each child with the new bubs then display it so that they could feel closer to the baby and not leftout etc, etc. Well, it took me a bit longer to get the photos printed and now bubs isn't so small anymore so I've gone straight to putting the photos on each page then making a layout with all four!
That might all sound a bit mish-mash but it's actually really pretty In Real Life! The backgrounds have been brayered using emboss resist and for the choc chip mats I used Faux Suede technique which added some texture.

Wedding "Extras"

I went to a beautiful wedding the other day! My friend Cheryl married her wonderful man Stevie and I was given the opportunity to make some cute "extras" for the wedding. I originally made her engagement thank yous here then carried on to make her wedding invitations here.

She asked me to do her seating plan and after some research on google came up with this:
She also requested a sign for her Wishing Well along with tags for guests to "Wish us Well":
And last but not least, we made tags for each guest attached to little bags containing choccies which were placed on the tables:
Didn't we do well?

Casing Shelli!

Here's a card I didn't get around to popping on before Sale-A-Bration ended, but it doesn't matter, because I used a different stamp set than Shelli did anyway! Shelli has a lovely natural style which I've wanted to have a try at for some time, so chose this card from her blog. I have now sent it to my nephew as an engagement card.

Happy Birthday Heather!

A big happy birthday to my Aunt who turns 70 today! I made a card especially for her. I know that she likes the colour purple, sewing and playing music (she's even a DJ at a radio station part-time), so incorporated those into her card. The inspiration for this card came from Sharyn Corsi but my card isn't half as nice as her was!Stamps: Sew Suite, Birthday Bakery (Hostess), Woodgrain

Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black (Ink & Markers)

"Bliss" Double Layout

As soon as I saw the Sale-A-Bration stamp set "Bliss" I just knew I had to have it! It's a lovely set, perfect for cards and scrapbooking alike! It also has a vintage feel to it.
With this layout, I wanted to keep the colours very muted so went for a total neutrals palette: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. Very Vanilla would have worked too but as we were all wearing a cool blue colour, white was a better choice.
I based the layout on this sketch from Page Maps:
Sale-A-Bration finishes at the end of March, so if you love "Bliss" or any of the other three stamp sets available free when you spend $120, contact me now to place your order.

Baby Sympathy Card

What a solemn few days it's been in New Zealand. My heart goes out to all those affected by the terrible earthquake in Christchurch, especially those families who lost babies. With a baby in our own household at the moment, the thought of losing him is just unbearable. No words can express the grief that everyone is feeling at the moment.

I thought it would be timely to show a baby sympathy card I made recently. A friend of mine lost her baby girl full-term just before Christmas and this is what I made for her. I scoured the SCS site and found this card which seemed to signify what I was wanting in a card; soft, simple and clean. RIP Baby Teresa.Stamps: So Many Sayings (Retired), Curvy Verses, Fresh Cuts
