JAI Scrapbooking Challenge

This month it's all about holiday photos. I haven't printed summer holiday photos yet so my son's joint birthday/weekend away will have to suffice!
I had lots of fun using markers to colour the stamps. I recently bought the set Summer Splash from the Summer Mini Catalogue after wanting a decent "beach" themed set for a long time. This ones got it all: surfboards, fish, bucket and spade... And I've used them all on this double layout.
This layout on SCS was my inspiration.Stamps: Summer Splash, Word Play
Cardstock: Basic Black, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Marina Mist & Crumb Cake Markers
Accessories: Scallop Edge Border Punch, Linen Thread

I cut all my circles using the Creative Memories system but you can do the exact same thing with the Stampin' Up! Circle Scissors Plus.

Big Shot Double Scrapbook Layout

In 2010 my son was born on my Nana's 94th birthday so the following year we just had to make a big deal of Nana's 95th birthday and Isaac's 1st! This layout was dedicated to my Nana's birthday as I've previously blogged here a layout of Isaac's birthday.

I got inspiration for this from this layout.Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Garden Green, Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Designer Frames Embossing Folder, Little Leaves Sizzlits Die, Lots of Tags Sizzlits Die, Simple Numbers Bigz Dies, Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die, XL Bird Punch, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Basic Black Stampin' Write Journaller

"Imagine the Possibilities" Layout

Gosh it's sometimes soooo hard cutting into a brand new pack of designer series paper! Especially when it's as pretty as this:
This is the DSP on offer with Sale-A-Bration at the moment, and here's what I made with it:
I've covered up the bottom photo as it's of the whole gang at daycare. The Soft Suede cardstock was folded in half when put through with the Top Note die so as to make it big enough for the 6x4 photo.

Also, the layout I've used is a standard one that I use over and over again for all my children's school photos. I scrapbook chronologically so they are all intermingled throughout my albums at the moment but one day my kids might ask for their own albums!

Stamps: Word Play
Cardstock: Pool Party, Soft Suede, Calypso Coral, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack, Big Shot, Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Top Note Bigz Die, Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die, Sponge Dauber

Lovely As A Tree Christmas Cards

I was inspired by some Christmas cards on SCS and ended up having to buy the Lovely as a Tree stamp set just so I could make them.

Of course I added my own twist (as you do) and was really pleased how they turned out. They were actually very fast and simple to make and once you have made a positive/negative oval template, it's all go!

Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, God's Blessings, Woodgrain
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Big Shot, Designer Frames Embossing Folders Set, Sponge Dauber, Spritzer Tool, Dazzling Diamonds
