Look What I Managed To Make!

Life certainly is busy with a newborn in the house. I spend most of my time keeping on top of the washing & dishes! I've really missed having "my crafting time" but managed to make a card & matching 6x6 page for my friend who just had a baby girl. It took me most of Saturday to make with all the interruptions! (And now it's taken me until Wednesday to blog!)
My upline Tracee Jones suggested on our team forum that instead of stamping on plain paper to make wrapping paper, she just crimps a piece of cardstock which matches the card then pops the card underneath it. Have I done it right Tracee? I think it's a cool idea being able to see the card!

Happy Bird Day - Mojo Monday/Inkspirations

I'm catching up on a couple of birthday cards which I need soon so decided to partake of a couple of challenges along the way! There is also some sneak peeks for the upcoming 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue!

This card uses the new Level 3 Hostess Stamp Set Playful Pieces and many pieces it has too! 30 in all! The pieces coordinate together to make many different shapes such as the "present" below. Also, the new Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder is just gorgeous and I will be making lots of projects with it.

MIL Mother's Day Gift

Here's what I made for my wonderful Mother-in-Law for Mother's Day, a set of 8 4x4 notecards for every occasion, along with another card of course and a purse to store them all in. She loved it!
I chose a "rainbow" using 8 of the retiring colours, stamping the outside with Fun and Fast Notes, matting in the same colour, then stamping the inside, same colour again, using the Curvy Verses stamp set. No colouring in required. I then finished off with some sort of matching embellishment, a brad, ribbon, button, etc.

Here's a closeup of the card and purse. I got the idea for the card from Kirsty Brown's blog. This was also my first try at a Scallop Circle Punch Faux Flower, cute eh?
